The Department of Cell Biology sponsors a variety of events
each academic year. These include weekly seminars during
which guest speakers from outside Emory and other Emory
departments as well as postdoctoral fellows from Cell Biology
make presentations on a wide range of relevant research topics.
Cell Biology also supports the monthly B&G (Bar and Grill),
an informal forum for lab presentations and the Annual Jerome Sutin Lecture
which is presented by a well-known neuroscientist in honor of our
former department chairman. Our annual retreat is held in the nearby
North Georgia mountains and offers an excellent opportunity to build
scientific and social interactions.
