Postions available
Postdoctoral and other positions
We are seeking someone to join our dynamic team at Emory University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow! The postdoctoral fellow will play a leading role in an exciting research project that investigates the intricate actin mechanisms underlying the development, modification, and disruption of the postsynaptic structure and function under normal and disease conditions. As a member of the Emory Department of Cell Biology and the Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases, you'll have access to cutting-edge resources and collaborate with leading experts in the field. Emory University is one of the top research institutions in the nation, nestled in the vibrant city of Atlanta, known for its lush greenery and dynamic cultural scene. This exciting research opportunity is funded by NIH grants and involve experiments using primary neuronal cultures and in vivo mouse models. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in neuroscience and/or cell biology. Experience in advanced imaging techniques, cytoskeletal research, CRISPR-cas9, and stereotactic viral brain injection would be highly valued. Join us in unraveling the complexities of cellular mechanisms underlying synaptic function and dysfunction. We encourage you to contact us to discuss the opportunity and the specifics of the research project.
We are also recruiting graduate students for PhD training and research in our lab. If interested, please send your inquiries to James Zheng.
